Euro Millions Info

The Euromillions offers Europe’s biggest rollover jackpots with lottery draws taking place each Friday in Paris. The euromillions lottery provides the opportunity for millions of people all over Europe to be in with a chance of winning huge, life changing amounts of money. The final jackpot fund depends on the amount of rollover weeks and the amount of european lottery tickets sold, but it is not outside the realms of possibility that the jackpot could be as much as £50m, in fact in July 2005 Dolores McNamara became the biggest ever individual Euromillions winner with a staggering £77 million euro lottery win. So playing euromillions lottery is certainly an attractive proposition.

The european lottery will rollover for up to 11 weeks and then if there is no winner the jackpot fund is distributed between any winners in the next draw. The Euromillions is played by selecting 5 main numbers from between 1 and 50 and then 2 further ‘lucky stars’ numbers between 1 and 9. The Euromillions draw is broadcast every Friday at 11.35pm on BBC One, during the live draw there are two lottery draw machines one for the numbers up to 50 and one other for the Lucky star numbers. The results for the Euromillions draw can also be accessed online after 10 pm.

The most sensible place to purchase your Euromillions tickets is online, by logging into the National Lottery website it is possible to purchase lottery tickets up until 11..00pm each day or until 7.30 on the day of the draw. If you have trouble choosing numbers then you can opt for the ‘lucky dip’ function, this will generate numbers automatically which will be entered for you in the euro lotto draw. There is also a fun option where you can select European cheeses and a random number will be given by the slicing of the cheese. Once you have selected your numbers it is possible to purchase up to 4 weeks of entries into the euro lotto draw, and you also can use your saved numbers next time you wish to purchase more lottery tickets.

Countries that currently participate in the Euromillions lottery are Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and of course the United Kingdom. Bringing back all the excitement of the 1970’s hit television programme, It’s A Knockout known in Europe as ‘Jeux Sans Frontière’s or ‘Games without Borders’, the Euromillions lottery is certainly delivering lottery games without borders!
