The Euro Millions has a jackpot of 55 million euro this Friday (14 August) so you better grab a ticket sharpish if you want to be in with a chance of winning. There was no winner last week of the 42 million euro prize, making this jackpot even more appealing! The main jackpot is always rolled over if no player correctly matches all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars (although there is a limit to how many rollovers are allowed). In 2006, after 10 rollovers the jackpot stood at £126 million which was shared out amongst 20 people throughout Europe.

People from Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK are all eligible to play the Euro Millions with the draw taking place every Friday night in Paris. All you need to do is choose 5 numbers from 1 to 50 and two lucky star numbers from 1-9. If you some of all of the numbers you are guaranteed to win a prize.

Why not rally around your friends or work colleagues to enter into a syndicate where you will have more chances of winning a slice of the jackpot. According to some statistics, there is a one in four chance of a syndicate winning a prize on the Euro Millions. For an individual to win a prize the odds are significantly reduced to 1 in 24.
