£200,000 Lotto jackpot win unclaimed

If you’d won £200,000 on the lottery, you’d probably be elated. One winner however doesn’t seem to have even noticed, as the staggering prize of £200,000 remains unclaimed from a lottery jackpot win.

The winning lottery ticket was bought in Sheffield on November 1st, and the lucky (or will be if they claim ticket) winner matched five numbers and the bonus ball. The numbers for that draw were 19, 25, 30, 33, 43, with 4 being the bonus ball. The exact jackpot won by the winner was £209,814. If the winner doesn’t claim their prize by April 30th next year the jackpot will go towards the National Lottery’s charity fund.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery stated:

We're desperate to find this missing ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.

Our message is 'Yule' regret it if you don't check those old tickets. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the ticket-holder will have an extra reason for celebration this Christmas Day.

As incredible as it seems this isn’t an isolated story, as there are millions of pounds worth of unclaimed lottery prizes. Lotto players are advised to keep their tickets safe until the draw is made and they have checked their numbers.
