A happy group of lottery winners have been explaining how they will be spending their £2.2 million lottery cash prize. The syndicate of employees at the Scunthorpe Corus Steelworks paid just fifty pence each which won each of them a whopping £275,000 cash prize.

A Swindon couple have been ordered to hand over the £15,000 winning that they cashed in on when finding a lottery ticket on a supermarket floor.  The real winner, a Mrs Dorothy McDonagh, aged 61-years-old, had dropped her lottery ticket by accident on her local Co-op floor.

The other week a local Spar shop in Magilligan was a hive of excitement when news reached the staff that their 98 member syndicate, which includes workers and customers, had struck gold and scooped a magnificent £100,000 in the National Lottery which was drawn on Saturday.

A Second World War RAF bomber pilot has plans to visit Burma after receiving a lottery grant from the National Lottery. Raymond Shaw from Preston, aged 86 years old, supported the British troops towards the end of the war in the Far East. Now, many years later, the veteran is to return to look for the old airstrip and to travel around the Asian country that on his last visit he couldn’t fully explore and appreciate.

There is just one single winner of the EuroMillions triple rollover top prize from Friday 17th July 2009! The winner’s name has not yet been released but the lucky individual matched the five main numbers and the two Lucky Star numbers winning a whopping £49,802,092!  Just imagine that!  

A lottery winner in Nigeria went straight out and handed the money over to a street beggar just an hour after claiming the lottery prize. The forty-six year old woman, Rosemary Obiakor won a healthy sum of three million naira which equates to £13,500 in the National Sports Lottery.
