The Big Lotto Fund is currently launching a magazine in Wales that is free. This is being aided by the help of Big Issue Cymru. It is said that the lotto magazine will be given away free with the Big Issue this week and is hoped to help make people more aware of how they and their local communities are benefiting from National Lottery money.

It has recently been advised by the National Lottery for all players of the lotto to check all their lottery numbers on their National Lottery tickets, especially any old tickets they may have forgotten about, for instance left in old bags or clothes and purses.

A new National Lottery report has been commissioned to check out how many under age people play the lottery. This report will be carried out by Ipsos MORI, and will look at a survey carried out by 9,000 youngsters, aged 12 to 15 years of age. The report is hoped to be published in the summer of 2009.

A National Lottery grant of £7,000 has been awarded to a group of Ottery hand bell ringers this month. The hand bell ringers, known as The Talatones, are said to be very dedicated and practice in the town’s Catholic Church every Monday.

The National Lottery small grants scheme, known as Awards for All, has donated money and given out grants that total £2,034,251 to over 327 organisations, which includes; schools, charities, sports clubs, arts projects, community schemes and heritage schemes.

The funding of a new stage at Eatock Primary School has been made possible due to a National Lottery donation, where the school received £10,000.
The donation was made so the school could install a new covered outdoor stage in the school grounds to enable pupils and the community to carry out outdoor performances and winter events and showcase local talents
