Disbelief in Derbyshire after successful lotto win

A player of the National Lottery, who lives in Dronfield, has been extremely lucky and won a substantial cash prize, when he matched five lottery numbers and the bonus.

Mr Martin Simpson, who is 59 years of age, quit his job a few weeks prior to winning the National Lottery, to enable him to start up his own minibus company. However, Mr Simpson was checking Teletext for flight times when he realised he had not checked his lottery numbers.

The married couple, Martyn White and his wife Sandra, play the National Lottery online and found that they had won when they checked their lottery numbers while they were preparing for a holiday to Italy.

Married couple make fraudulent lotto claim

A married couple have narrowly escaped a prison sentence after they were found to have made a fraudulent National Lottery claim.

It was heard that Mr Michael and Amanda Stacey had found a Daily Play lotto ticket where they claimed a cash prize of £30,000. Mr and Mrs Stacey spent half of the money before the rightful owner of the Daily Play ticket contacted the police, who then put a stop on the remainder of the National Lottery money being paid out.

A lucky couple won 14.5 million Euros after winning The National Lottery. The lucky couple from Glenageary in Co. Dublin won the fifth biggest lotto jackpot since the game began in 1988. They were over the moon when their lucky lotto numbers cam up 10 days ago. The couple have opted to stay anonymous but are looking forward to taking care of their family and being debt free for the first time in their lives. They plan to take the trip of a lifetime to the Great Barrier Reef, buy a new car each and a season ticket for the husband’s favourite football team.
