A grandfather who won the lottery has finally given up his house which he has lived in for half a century.

Mr Caswell, 74, won the Euromillions jackpot of £25 million four months ago and he has now swapped his small terraced house for a £1.25 million five bedroom farmhouse.

The winner has also splashed out on homes for his daughters Helen and Angela as well as a new Range Rover.

Mr Caswell has also not had time to tend to his allotment which he had been so dedicated to before his win. The winner insists that he will keep his allotment despite its recent neglect.

But since his lottery numbers came up, the grandfather has kept his feet firmly on the ground and he still takes his elderly neighbour shopping to Morrisons on a Friday.

And despite having a winning ticket, Mr Caswell still plays the lottery every week.

As well as splashing out on a new home and car for himself, the 74 year-old is also setting up a charity. He is planning to spend some of his winnings on helping out local causes with the help of this charity.
