A 43 year old barman from Rowley Regis, West Midlands has scooped and incredible £1.7million on the Australian lottery. But lucky winner David Jeal has revealed that he intends to keep his job as a Bar Manager at The Regis in Old Hill. And the fact that the interest alone on his newly achieved fortune nets him around £4,500 each month, David claims he can't be tempted into a millionaire's lifestyle. He said:- “I'm not going to give up work – I'd be bored stiff within a fortnight. I enjoy working here. They are such a nice group to work with and I have made a really nice group of friends in the last few months. “I've already travelled around the world – I've been to Australia, Singapore, Dubai, Europe and America. Once you've done it you don't want to do it again!” The unassuming bachelor also insists that he will continue to live in his three bed semi-detached home in Rowley Regis, although he is currently redecorating and having new carpets fitted. Despite his somewhat frugal attitude, David revealed that he will shortly splash out on a brand new Jaguar costing somewhere between £34,000 and £43,000. He also revealed that he had been spending around £5 each month for about eight months playing the Australian National Lottery, and didn’t quite believe it when he discovered that his numbers had been drawn. He explained:- “People were saying it's a scam but then the lottery people contacted me. It took a couple of weeks for it to sink in.
