Bolton is overflowing with lottery magic if the recent lottery results are taken into account. Recently Mr. Brian Caswell was reported to have won £25 million of the EuroMillions jackpot. Now there is another Bolton based Brian who has cashed in on a lottery prize. Mr. Brian Merga and Susan, his wife, have won a fantastic £68,000 from the Lotto draw that took place on 10th June 2009.

Brian won £68,201 to be exact and achieved this wonderful prize by matching the Lotto’s five main numbers plus the bonus ball. Brian is a 55 year old hospital porter working at the Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Susan Merga works at the same hospital as a healthcare assistant. Bolton is proving to be the place to be for lottery winning, especially for the name Brian. Susan commented:

“I couldn’t believe it when I heard someone else had won the lottery from Bolton. I remember thinking that it must be the luckiest place in the country at the moment. Although our win isn’t quite as big, we still couldn’t quite believe it when we found out we’d won.”

The couple are helping plan for their daughter Denise’s wedding, and are also looking to throwing a big family bash for their son Paul and two year old grandson. Some of that lottery money will also go towards a dream holiday. Susan went on to say:

“We are not sure where we want to go yet. We just know it will be somewhere hot and sunny. We’re not going to go wild, we just want to treat our family and put most of the money away for our retirement.”
