Britain’s biggest lottery winner remains down to earth

A lottery winner who scooped £35.4million in a Euromillions lottery game in 2007 has kept her feet firmly on the ground despite being Britain’s biggest lottery winner to date.

Angela Kelly, a former Royal Mail clerk, spent £800,000 on a luxury mansion in 2007, but it has been revealed that she has hung on to her second floor ex council flat that she lived in before her lucky win.

The flat, which is near Glasgow, still contains her furniture and Angela frequently goes back there to stay over when she wants to feel ‘at home’.
Aside from her luxury home, Angela has also spent money on a £270,000 home for her estranged husband and £225,000 on a villa for her current partner’s ex wife and children.

She has also bought a £40,000 four wheel drive Mercedes, but still visits the same hair salon and doesn’t indulge in huge shopping sprees.
Since her lottery numbers came in, Angela has certainly made sure that her loved ones have been cared for, but by hanging onto her modest little flat, she has proved that money doesn’t change everyone.
