A lucky National Lottery player is holding a lotto ticket containing the winning lottery numbers and does not even know it!

Who ever this person is has missed out on receiving a near £100,000 cash prize, after they failed to claim their money with their winning National Lottery ticket.

The owner of the lotto ticket matched five of the lottery numbers and the bonus ball, but have failed to look at their lottery numbers or used the lottery checker. If they had claimed their cash prize within the 180 day deadline given by the National Lottery, then they would have walked away with £96,404.
A spokesperson from the National Lottery has commented on the situation and said:

“The ticket holder did not come forward in time to claim their prize and has missed out on a substantial amount of money. To avoid this situation happening again, I would urge all National Lottery players to check their tickets on a regular basis. We tried very hard to find the person concerned and it’s a real shame that they have missed the deadline.”

This unclaimed money will now be donated to worthy causes that are supported by the National Lottery.
