We all have different methods for choosing our lottery numbers. Some of us use special dates such as birthdays or anniversaries while others pick theirs at random in their own little lottery draw.

But then there are some people who believe that there is a science behind choosing lottery numbers. We all saw Derren Brown’s attempt to predict the lottery and there have been several other instances of scientists attempting to come up with some sort of formula.

While many of us don’t believe that a random game of chance can be predicted, there are perhaps, certain ways to improve your chances.

For example, certain numbers appear more than others and are known as the most common lottery balls. Numbers such as 38, 31, 11, 23, 43 and 25 have all appeared more frequently than the rest with 38 making an appearance an amazing 207 times.

Then there are those numbers which seem reluctant to take the limelight, such as 20, 41, 13, 16, 21 and 15. You may think that some numbers which haven’t been picked in a long while might be more likely to come up, in which case, 13, 49, 7, 4, 22 and 39 might be more appealing. With 13 last appearing 89 days ago, it’s surely bound to come up soon.

Whichever method you use to pick your lottery numbers, this is all part of the fun. So whether you win the game or not, you have still enjoyed the thrill of taking part and dreaming of being the next multi millionaire.
