A 55 year old man from Eastwood in Nottinghamshire has finally given up his full time job, almost four months after he won £1,925,567 on the UK lottery. Alan Rowley continued to work full time for his own company We Clean For You, but has now opted to take a part time position in the business processing invoices. So after finally retiring his faithful marigolds, how does Alan feel? He recently commented:- "I love it. It's great. At Christmas we could just go out and get everything we wanted. It was great never having to think that something was too expensive. We have now accepted that we can do what we want to do. Having said that we haven't really done a great deal with it – we went to Whitby and that's about it. We will start thinking about holidays now." He also said that his dream is to visit Australia, where he looks forward to travelling with his 60 year old wife, Sandra later this year when the England Cricket Team tour there. The couple recently purchased a new house in Selston which overlooks the Amber Valley in West Nottinghamshire set in six acres of land, and their sons 28 year old Jamie and Luke, aged 22 have moved into the Alan and Sandra's old house in Eastwood. |
