A 33 year old bar worker from Kimbolton in Cambridgeshire popped into his local shop to purchase a pint of milk and left £5,000 richer thanks to a lotto scratch card.

Paul Sansby who also works as a pub cleaner couldn’t believe it when he realised that he had won in Oliver's General Store in Kimbolton.

After revealing his prize, he still couldn’t believe that he had won and took the scratch card to The Saddle Pub where he is employed as a cleaner.

The day after his win in mid-January he said: -

"I only popped into Oliver's to buy some milk and wasn't intending to buy any scratch cards.

But I got to the counter and on a whim just asked for two of the cards. I was shocked when I found out I had won so much money.

I had to get someone in the pub to check the card because I just didn't believe it. The whole thing just didn't seem real.

It has still not sunk in."

Lucky Paul won on both scratch cards - £1 on the first and an amazing £5,000 on the second.
