Luton Couple Win Online Lotto

A Luton based couple have beaten the recession blues by winning a whopping £10,784,075 double rollover jackpot on the National Lottery online.

Martyn and Sandra White were coming to the end of an Easter holiday to Italy when they discovered they had won the National Lottery online. However initially they had no idea just how much they had won and it took another couple of weeks before they held the massive cheque in their hands.

Martyn White was alerted to his win by an email from the National Lottery as he checked his flights for any delays back to the UK. He assumed he’d won another tenner to put in their holiday kitty for next year. Curiosity got the better of the Whites and they double checked their National Lottery account to find they had won £10.7 million! Martyn recalls:

“It took me ages to spot the amount and even then I thought the email was wrong - £10.7m was the jackpot prize but how much have I won? Next I checked the winning numbers and recognised them all...it began to dawn on me that it wasn't a mistake and that we really had won!"

Martyn is looking to retire early as a sales manager working for a vehicle electronics company and Sandra is looking to take up interior design.
