When you look at statistics relating to lottery winners, it becomes apparent that syndicates really are the most beneficial route for any players to take. Playing with a group of people can be more exciting and fun than playing on your own. But if you do want to start a syndicate you need to ensure that you do it properly to avoid any disagreements or problems should you win.
The best thing to do is to appoint a manager who will be responsible for managing the syndicate. This will involve the collection of the money, buying the tickets and collecting any winnings. It may be an idea to draw up a document which acts as a contract to ensure that should any tickets in the syndicate win, the prize money will be divided up equally. This written agreement will also mean that the people the manager shares the money with will not be asked to pay inheritance tax. The agreement should be signed and dated by each group member and preferably witnessed by someone. Copies of this agreement should be given to each person in the syndicate and the original should be kept safe. This agreement may sound very formal for what is supposed to be a fun game. But once it is organised, you can get on with the excitement of playing the National Lottery without any worries.
