Massive Mega Millions jackpot stands at $145m

Mega MillionsThere are lottery jackpots and then there are LOTTERY jackpots, and the US Mega Millions current estimated lottery jackpot of $145m falls into the latter category.  This massive lottery jackpot draw is due to be drawn on Friday 9th October and has the potential to make the lottery winner (or winners) very wealthy indeed.  Certainly the stuff that dreams are made of, the Mega Millions can be played in the states of California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massechusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions tickets cost just $1 each and five numbers can be selected from 1 to 56 to have the potential to win the massive Mega Millions jackpot.

Although the current estimated Mega Millions jackpot is huge for most big lottery wins - and certainly when compared to our own National Lottery here in the UK it could be described as enormous - for the Mega Millions draw it is actually quite average. When this jackpot is compared to some of the other big Mega Millions jackpots, the largest of which is the $390m which was won in March of 2007, this estimated jackpot pales into almost insignificance. Well not quite, as any winner or winners would be more than happy to receive this huge (and some might say obscene) sum, and lets face it this hasn’t been won yet and so this massive jackpot still has the potential to grow and grow.

It is unlikely that any of the UK readers will be having an opportunity to take part in the Mega Millions jackpot lottery draw tomorrow, but don’t let that put you off taking part in the UK’s National Lottery or Euromillions draws.  The Euromillions jackpot currently stands at £26,000,000 which if compared to the Mega Millions does seem quite small, however that sum would certainly provide sufficient cash to last the average person a lifetime and in the lap of luxury too. The draw for the Euromillions takes place on Friday 9th October and tickets cost £1.50 each.
