Winning the National Lottery can really change your life. So when publicity surrounding the lottery is increased because a big winner has yet to come forward, it is understandable that people check their handbags and wallets in the hope they were the lucky winner. You may not have failed to notice the publicity drive Camelot conducted to find the lucky winner of a near £5 million jackpot on the 29th of August. The winner had not come forward to claim their prize so Camelot launched an appeal to find the mystery winner. And now, almost two weeks after the balls were drawn the winner has finally come forward. They had in fact until the 25th of February next year to claim their win but as time goes by the likelihood that anyone will claim unfortunately diminishes. The winning UK lottery numbers were 9, 18, 34, 37, 39, and 47. "It would have been awful if the ticket holder had missed out on this substantial and life changing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play." The biggest unclaimed win was in Doncaster in 2005 when someone missed out on the opportunity to claim their £9.4 million jackpot.
