The National Lottery awards are the annual event which sees the country trawled for the UK’s favourite lottery funded project.  It is a sure fire way to award projects which vary considerably in size that have been funded by National Lottery money.  Projects are located across the country in communities and various groups in hundreds of towns and countries.

At this year’s awards, 21 projects have made it to the final which will be taking place on 5th September and will be broadcast on the television. There are seven different categories so there will be seven winners. The nation’s favourite will receive a £2,000 prize which is contributed to their project.  To find the nation’s favourite there has been a public vote which has now closed for this year.

The awards are now in their 6th year and it is the perfect opportunity to recognise the various different projects that are taking place across the country that need help with their funding.  At the final on the 5th September the general public will get a chance to see where the lottery money is invested.
