In the UK the BBC has made the lottery into a popular Saturday night entertainment half hour with regular guest appearances from the country’s film and television stars, as well as a host of other celebrities. Because of this entertainment and the enjoyment of playing the game, the number of people in the UK who play the UK lottery every Saturday night, has not seemed to diminish over the years.

The fact that stars and celebrities are associated with lottery games in the UK makes them more popular. Doing the lottery has become one of the few occasions that families gather together around the box and argue about the best number choosing techniques. The Saturday night game is probably the most popular game because it is often the game with the highest lottery pay out. Although the government takes a certain percentage of all the lottery takings, they also re-channel some of that money into certain social projects. Every week on the lottery show some charity or other is brought into the mix to let the rest of the population know where their lottery pounds are going.

America has even more variety in lottery games than we do in the UK and one of the daily lotteries that they have there is known as the Daily4 game, which is a type of lotto that can be played in four different ways – giving players the opportunity to choose a different lottery game for almost every day in the week.
