The credit crunch doesn't stop lottery sales

Although we are all tightening our belts and being extra careful with our money, National Lottery sales are still hitting the roof. Camelot believe it is because everyone is hoping they will hold the lucky lottery numbers and have a big win to help them through these hard times.

The National Lottery has reported that this year sales have hit a record. National Lottery customers have spent an incredible £5.1 billion on lotto tickets in the last 12 months, despite Britain being in recession.

The National Lottery bosses are extremely pleased as £1 billion pounds of the ticket money has been put aside for good causes. The National Lottery has also helped out the country as a whole as they have raised over £600 million in taxes to help the country out of its financial crisis.

The big increase in National Lottery and daily play tickets has also helped the Euromillions Jackpots too; there have already been two big wins so far this year and the more big jackpots the more players.

So remember when you purchase your next National Lottery ticket or Euromillions ticket, and if you are not one of the lucky people with the winning lottery numbers, just think you are helping out the country at the same time.
