The syndicate method pays off once again

The group all regularly visit the Doon Inn in Blantyre and they have a routine of meeting at the pub to check the winning lottery numbers every Saturday. On the lucky Saturday in question, one member of the syndicate wrote the winning lottery numbers on the back of a beer mat. The group suddenly realised that they had matched several numbers. The barmaid then checked the numbers for them and they then realised they had matched all six numbers.

It was particularly good news for one of the syndicate members who was made redundant three months ago and who has not been able to get a job since.
