Have you ever found an old lottery ticket at home whilst sorting through your things? If the answer is yes, then have a quick look at the date the ticket was bought. If it is still within the National Lotteries 180 day limit of the draw date, it’s worth checking the lottery numbers. If it is outside this time limit your potential win may have already gone to good causes. It is worth noting at this point that you may still want to check if you would have won any money, but, and it is a big but, could you continue as normal if you realised you have missed out on a big win?

One look at the unclaimed prize money on offer will make you realise that there is still thousands of pounds unclaimed. The biggest unclaimed prize is still the £2.5 million that someone from the Worcester and Malvern area won on the 11th of March. They have until the 7th of September to claim their prize. Other unclaimed prizes include £1.3 million in the Croydon area that must be claimed before the 12th of November and £550,000 that was won in the St Albans area on the EuroMillions euro lottery draw; you have until the 11th of November to claim this prize.
