Just what would you do if on Saturday evening you and your family were gathered around the television set as usual, and you discovered that you had just one a million pounds on the National Lottery? The fact is that while most people dream of winning the lottery they have no clear idea of what they will do with the money if they win. Most of us who play the lottery have vague ideas of living the millionaire lifestyle in a huge mansion, being able to go on holiday whenever we choose and having the money to buy designer clothes and shoes, as well as helping out the rest of the family and a few friends. The fact is that unless lottery winners make sure that they get some sound financial advice right at the start, it is all too easy for them to let a million pounds slip through their fingers.

We have all heard of the lottery winner who is broke within a couple of years and who bemoans the fact that they ever go involved with the lottery.
